Sage Intacct |
Sage Intacct helps finance professionals increase efficiency and drive growth for their organizations. It is built for finance professionals by finance professionals and is designed for scalability so that it grows with your organization. Intacct provides true cloud flexibility and accessibility.
In 1981, David Goldman founded Sage. He worked with a team of Newcastle University students in the UK to develop software to automate his business —and realized other businesses could benefit from this too. In 1998, Sage came to North America with the acquisition of leading desktop accounting software, Peachtree.
Today, Sage has 13,000 employees and serves over three million customers in 23 countries across mainland Europe, Africa, Australia, Asia, and Latin America. In 2017, Sage acquired Intacct and Fairsail.
Intacct was designed to work with companies that provide knowledge services, personal services and intellectual property. Example industries or business types include: Financial Services, franchise, hospitality and entertainment, nonprofit or NGO organizations, professional services firms and companies that offer products through subscription or SaaS.
Accounting software packages only handle the individual business function of accounting, whereas an ERP application handles the entire range of business functions of an organization including: Finance, Human Resources, Sales, Marketing and more. ERP systems are built with the understanding that transactions occur across a broad range of business workflows whereas accounting software is simply the collection point for transactions.

Sage Intacct's innovative general ledger includes 10 dimensions to capture the business context of your transactions, operational measures, and budgets. That means you can quickly access or create reports that analyze real-time business performance by business drivers – without managing a complex chart of accounts.
Intacct’s ten predefined dimensions are ready to go out of the box, including department, item, and employee. And it’s easy to add more dimensions to reflect unique business drivers and take your financial reports to the next level.
Sage Intacct is deployed in Sage’s high availability cloud infrastructure. As true cloud solution Intacct offers key elements – multi-tenancy, elastic infrastructure, high configurability, self-service expansion, and integration APIs. Give your team the advantage of a solution that was built from the start on a true cloud architecture. Sage Intacct’s multi-tenant foundation brings robust technology infrastructure to your organization, without the high costs, maintenance, or complexity that would be involved with an on-premises solution.
There are several factors that determine how quickly Sage Intacct can be implemented and adapted to your Business including: size of your business, the number of locations, complexity of your business structure, and the availability of your staff for the project. In general, you should expect an implementation to take three to four months before you see initial value from the system.
The four stages of Vision33's implementation methodology – Blueprint, Build, Implement, Sustain - are managed by an assigned Lead Consultant to ensure consistent communication and collaboration. We will guide you through the process of implementing Sage Intacct and continue to support you once it's up and running, through our TOTALcare support program.
Yes, data migration from your old system to Sage Intacct can be imported from a text file, Excel spreadsheet or manually.
